Gordon May and the RE Bruntingthorpe Team have been offered an opportunity to
be a part of the parade of bikes that will open the event each day. In previous years
this event has been televised. The parade of bikes is for pre 1966 machines only.
Bruntingthorpe are taking three of their own collection.
The REOC has been offered the opportunity to accompany Team RE and supply a
further 6 machines. This event celebrates a Goodwood anniversary.
As a gratuity for supporting the opening parade, (participation is required on each day
of the event), riders will be awarded the not insignificant gesture of 2 daily
admission tickets, free camping on the Friday and Saturday nights and pre and post
event access wrist bands.
If any REOC Member would like to attend and doesn’t own a pre-65 RE
they are welcome to use the hammerite special 53 Bullet. September is my busy
month so, sadly, work prevents my participation.
Please get back to me asap, if this is of interest. Sean and I were at committee this
Sunday, and I opened up the offer to a wider audience there.
