Calling all Bristol area members
To all Bristol area members who would like to
attend the local branch
meeting please note that the Branch is changing the day and venue of their
monthly meeting and hope that this will suit more members and encourage them to
attend.
Please be aware that branch secretaries are not provided with
membership details and therefore are unable to contact members within
the branch area, this may be especially relevant to new members who may
feel that they should be contacted, the branch welcomes anyone with an
interest in Royal Enfields and look forward to meeting you.

Small Ads
Listening to members requests the club re designed the website earlier this
year and now it keeps the members menu in place when visiting the pages
available to the public.
Following a recent request for a place to buy and sell items we are proud to
present a Small Ads section in the members area.
Selling?
So don't stub your toe or choke on the dust collecting on your trunnions,
place an advertisement in the for sale
section and you never know you may find something to replace them with.
Wanting?
Should you have an item you have been searching for then place an advert in
the wanted section. In not time
you too could be nursing a stubbed toe while admiring the dust collecting on
your new found item.

Why we do it
In the left side menu a new set of articles have been started describing why we
members enjoy our Royal Enfields. I hope they prove both interesting and
entertaining to those with and without a Royal Enfield motorcycle and hopefully
encourage more people to join the club. If you are a member and would like to share
how and why you got to enjoy being a Royal Enfield rider or member
drop the
Webmaster a line.

The updated web site
The web site has been updated and the changes bring improved accessibility which
will be taken further over time so people of most abilities can enjoy visiting
the Royal Enfield Owners Club.
The updates are more than cosmetic and have been developed
to help improve your experience of visiting the site.
The updates include:
- A centralised page within your browser
- Stronger members page security
- Member menus are viewable throughout a visit
- The layout is consistent when the page is scaled
- Improved accessibility using cascading style sheets
- Content can be read without the style sheet
- A more consistent presentation of content
- It is easier to manage and update; I am really chuffed about this one!
- A fresher look to the site
- Browser support for Internet Explorer and Firefox
So enjoy the site and if you wish drop me a line and let me know what you think.
Regards,
Carl Cope
Webmaster
